How You Found Us
When you sign up, we keep how your visit started: the website or search engine that linked to us, any campaign tag in that link, and the first page you saw. We use it only to learn which ways of finding BillGrid work. It is held with your session, so it needs no extra cookie, and our website runs no third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our services
- Process transactions and send related information
- Communicate with you about our services
- Protect against fraud and abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
Product News Emails
From time to time we email people who use BillGrid, and newsletter subscribers, about changes to the product. For each of these emails we record whether it was sent, which of its links to our own site were clicked, and whether it was used to unsubscribe, so we can tell which news is useful and send less of what isn't. We do not track when an email is opened.
Every product news email has a one-click unsubscribe link. Once you unsubscribe you receive no more of them; account emails such as receipts and password resets continue. After 400 days we erase your address from these records and keep only anonymous totals. If you unsubscribe, we keep your address on a do-not-email list, so we never send you product news again.
Google User Data
If you connect Google Calendar under Settings > Calendar Sync, BillGrid uses Google data only to put your invoice due dates and estimate delivery dates on your calendar and keep them up to date.
- What we access. Your Google account email address, to show which account is connected. If you choose a new BillGrid calendar, we create that one calendar and manage events on it only. If you choose one of your own calendars, we also read the list of your calendars so you can pick one, and manage events on the calendar you picked.
- How we use it. We create, update and delete the events BillGrid made for your invoices and estimates. To keep them in step, we read the upcoming events on the chosen calendar and act only on BillGrid’s own; your other events are never changed, stored or shared.
- What we store. The connected email address, the OAuth tokens Google issues and the scopes you granted, and the ID of the chosen calendar. Tokens are used only to reach Google Calendar on your behalf.
- Sharing. We do not sell Google user data, share it with anyone, use it for advertising, or use it to develop or train AI models. No person at BillGrid reads it unless you ask us to for support, it is needed for security, or the law requires it.
- Removal. Disconnecting in Settings > Calendar Sync revokes BillGrid’s access with Google and deletes the stored tokens. You can also remove access at any time from your Google Account’s security settings.
BillGrid’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
