Setting up tax rates

1. Open the account menu and click Settings, then choose Tax Rates.
2. Enter a Tax Name (e.g. "Sales Tax" or "VAT"), a Tax Rate (%), and choose Apply After — whether it calculates after the subtotal, after a discount, or after shipping.
3. Click Add tax. You can save more than one rate if you charge tax differently for different clients.

Applying tax to an invoice: saved tax rates aren't a dropdown on the invoice editor yet. Tick the Tax checkbox on a line item, and BillGrid fills in the percentage from the first tax rate you've saved — you can then edit that percentage directly on the line, and use the on subtotal / on total toggle next to it to choose how it's calculated for that invoice.
