This page is for clients. A business that works with you uses BillGrid and gave you a client hub: one private page for everything you do together. You don’t need a BillGrid account or a password to use it.
If you run a business on BillGrid, this is the page to send your clients. For what you see on your side, see what your client sees.
What a client hub is
Instead of a separate link in every email, your hub keeps your work with the business in one place:
- What needs you. An invoice to pay, an estimate or contract to answer, a file to approve, or something the business asked of you.
- Your projects. Where each one stands, milestone by milestone.
- Money. What’s due and when, online payment where the business accepts it, and your receipts and statements.
- Documents and files. Every estimate, contract, invoice and file the business shared with you.
- Conversations. Messages from the business, which you can reply to from the hub.
What you see depends on what the business shares with you. One person at your company might see everything, another only invoices and payments, another only certain projects. Documents emailed to you are always yours to see.
Signing in
- Open the hub from the business’s email, or from a link they gave you.
- Type the email address the business has for you, then choose Email me a code.
- Type the 6-digit code from that email. It works for 10 minutes.
Your device is then remembered for 30 days, so you won’t need a code each time. On a shared or public computer, tick This is a shared or public computer and you’re signed out after a short time away. Some businesses ask for a code on every visit; you’ll see that on the sign-in page.
On a phone or computer with a fingerprint, face or screen lock, you can choose Add a passkey after signing in. Next time, Use a passkey opens your hub without waiting for a code.
No code arrived? Check your spam folder, and that you typed the address the business has for you. For your privacy the sign-in page answers the same way for any address, so if yours isn’t on file, ask the business to add it.
How to tell the email is real
- It comes from the business’s name via BillGrid, and replying reaches the business, not BillGrid.
- Its links go to billgrid.com. You type codes only on billgrid.com pages.
- BillGrid never asks for a password, and never asks for card or bank details by email.
- A forwarded email opens nothing: the hub opens only with a code sent to your own address.
Not expecting an email like this? You can ignore it. If you’re unsure, contact the business the way you usually do.
Paying and downloading
Open an invoice to see what’s left to pay, download its PDF or pay online by card or bank account, where the business accepts them. Receipts and statements stay in your hub. Files the business shared with you open from the document or project they belong to. Some files ask for a fresh code before they download, as an extra lock.
Answering the business
When the business asks you for something, like photos, an answer or an approval, it appears at the top of your hub. Answer there, and attach files when they ask for them. You can also reply to a message from the hub, or simply reply to the business’s email.
Signing out and your access
Under Where you’re signed in in your hub you can see each device and choose Sign out everywhere. The business decides who at your company can open the hub and what each person sees. To change who has access, or if someone has left your company, ask the business.
